you can do it but its not going to make it any faster just because you have 2 outlets. its also not going to sound any better. its just going to be like a cosmetic thing with no added performance. its better to just keep the one outlet instead of the dual and it will be cheaper to just have the one outlet.

Ive done it on the I6 Jeep grand cherokee and have it dyno with hp gains. It can be done with a split pipe at the manifold but it will not sound all that great.It will sound kinda like a overreved small car.
