I think your approach to this situation is wrong. I am guessing you are interested in this guy, and that is why you are asking this question of finding out if he has a girlfriend. My advice is don't worry about that, just assume that he does not. Approach him, talk with him, flirt with him be a very fun and cool person. See how he reacts. Take it from there. If he has a girlfriend he will either let you know or he may end that relationship because you are so much more fun. There, try that. Oh and remember have fun.

Ask girls that know him. The guys he knows (if they're like my friends) would likely lie so he gets more out of the deal.
