Isn't it bad to drink/eat gold?

I was drinking Goldschlager out of the bottle last night and don't feel so good today.

The gold flakes in Goldschlager are made of gold, which is practically biologically inert. That's why they make ear-rings out of it.

You don't feel so good because you were drinking liquer out of a bottle instead of out of a glass; usually a sure sign that you are drinking too much liquor!

Skol!

It is bad to drink/eat gold, but the amount of gold in a bottle of Goldschlager is very minimal and the most harm it'll do is cut little tiny holes in the back of your throat to permit the alcohol to run through your veins quicker, giving you a quicker buzz. If you aren't feeling well, its probably because you drank past your limit.

I suspect the sole source of your ailing self is drinking Goldschlager from the bottle. Unless you have some sort of bizarre allergy, the amount of gold you ingested is negligible and would have been taken care of toute de suite by stomach acid.

The gold flakes are very thin and im sure they just melt away when you swallow them.

There is only about $1.73 worth of gold in a 750ml bottle of goldschlager, so I wouldnt worry about it.

It is most likely because you were drinking and is not related to the actual gold in the drink. There are minimal amounts of gold in the drink and the affect is most lieky caused by dehydration, mixed alcohols, wrong foods, ETC the list could go on and on. Feel better soon though

You were told quite a story. The flakes can do as much harm to you as freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. The FDA would never allow this to be sold if it did such things. I've drunk it for many years and even had a lower GI and an endoscopy - nothing like that has ever shown up.

Well you probably don't feel so good today because you had too much alcohol. I have had that stuff and never got sick from it, but I never drank large quantities either.
