How should I respond to a snide, off color, rude, lame or otherwise bad remark. Sarcasm is good, but no swears please.

Don't use a comeback. Just stare the person square in the eyes for a couple seconds and say "Don't ever say that again." That's the kind of stuff that stays with a person... a comeback would roll right off.

Depends upon the remark.
You could try to "turn the other cheek."
Or best of all, just ignore it. If you don't let it get to you, the remark just hangs out there looking stupid.
