Muarice I am going to ignore your comment. What has brought me to want to learn more about Islam is the message of peace I have found. I hope that someday you will find peace in your heart.

Please make sure before you pick any Islamic book or a Quran copy the place of publication. Make sure it is published in a Middle Eastern country (preferably Saudi Arabia or Egypt). The reason is that many non-Muslims publish distorted copies of Islamic books and the Quran in order to defame Islam.

Also, please, please, please... always, always, always refer back to a CREDIBLE Islamic scientist or preacher who would explain the Quran for you. You may fall into the same old trip of misinterpreting Quranic verses. For instance, if you come across something like ''kill the infidels,'' any non-Muslim would think that this is God's command to all Muslims to kill non-believers. FALSE. Such verses were mentioned by Allah at a time (during Prophet Mohammed) when non-believers where attacking Muslims as they did not approve of their religion, so God told them to DEFEND themselves only from such brutality. That kind of thing you should be aware of.

Good luck :)

At any library or book store. You can get them free from your local mosque or there are web sites that can answer all the questions you want to know. There are Islamic book shops too usually near a mosque or if you know any Muslims just ask them for some help they will be happy to get you the information you need. You can just google Islam and there are plenty of sites that will come up. Good luck. It very refreshing for someone to want to learn more, it does not necessarily mean you want to become a Muslim but good for you for trying to learn about Islam first hand and not just accepting the media stereotype. Thank you.

You can turn to the Prophet Muhammad but you could turn to the one that He said would follow Him in future instead. Baha'u'llah fulfills biblical prophecies by name, date, address and mission as well. He fulfills the prophecies Adam/Zadek made concerning the end of the Adamic Cycle thus fulfilling the native prophecies of the world by His advent.
