doing the calculations to make it equivalent to gasoline is a pain, and the only true way to find out consumption is to run a tank dry since you can never fill the tank with the same amount . so , crawl under it and if you have isolation valves on each tank you are in luck, isolate one and run the other dry , isolate it and run the other to get to a filling station, then put say 10 gallons in the dry tank only, and run it dry , do this a couple of times and you can get a cost / mile. be carefull when switching tanks that both be off before opening the test or reserve tank as the propane pressure will try to equalize if they are both open at the same time. if this is too confusing e-mail me, propane is great , my '88 f250 with a 460 is on it and i get 11 cents /km ( about 13 or 14 cents/ mile )
