It's important to use a shampoo that is pH balanced. Sticking with a mild shampoo and conditioner as well as not using super hot or icy cold water can all be helpful in being gentler on your scalp. Don't forget to massage your scalp while showering to get the blood circulating. Keep in mind, that what is good for your body, e.g. getting enough rest, exercise, plenty of water, a balanced diet, is good for your skin--including your scalp. Last, but not least, remember to use sun protection via a hat and/or hair products that contain SPF.

Keep your hair clean. No one shampoo or conditioned will keep your scalp healthy. Just shampoo once a day and rinse well. Don't use harsh shampoos like Head & Shoulders.

According to my hairdresser(cousin) try using a product called Cholesterol.Yes that is the name of the product. It's a yellow cream, you can find most anywhere, but do try a beauty supply store if all else fails.
