Jealousy is certainly obsessive but not compulsive.. ie you do not depend on your jealousy for mental peace of mind whereas if you, say had an OCD for handwashing, then you would HAVE to wash your hands a lot. Does that make sense? If your jealousy was so severe that it dominated your life then you may have a personality disorder. I'm sure it's not that bad though :)

No, I don't beleive that jealousy is a form of OCD, it is more insecurity. Even if you have to ask a lot of questions, that is still being insecure and jealous. OCD is a compulsive disorder where people believe that bad things will happen if they don't perform their ritual, like washing hands, turning light switches on and off, checking windows and doors are locked over and over etc.

I think a lot of things such as jealousy could be symptoms of OCD, but only really if combined with other traits.
Let's face it, we all get jealous sometimes, and we can't all have OCD.

Sounds a bit more akin to an anxiety disorder rather than OCD. Hmmm....

Usually jealousy is from low self esteem, insecurities. A confident secure person is not jealous.

If you have one obsession with many things you do to feed that obsession and keep it true [or make it not occur], then this is OCD.

Asking questions with no reasoning is not OCD.
Asking questions because you fear God will kill your cat if you don't is OCD.
