There's icky stuff in my throat that I've been more successful in coughing up since I worked out yesterday, but I feel worse. Does any one know what is best: let your body rest completely? or exercise and maybe stress it out more? I don't really know what to do.

Depends on how bad the cough. Sounds like it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to continue working out, just don't go full blast. Take it easy until you're feeling better.

yeah but if you are starting to gasp for air or it starts to get hard to breathe you should stop and you may also want to take it a little easier since you are sick.

Don't do it, it will make you feel terrible. Take some cough medicine.
