In your gym, there should be a machine called a Hyperextension Bench. You can work your obliques and upper abs. The oblique muscles are what you want to target....those are your "love handles" if not exercised.

a lot of people think you can spot train..but that is not the case. focus on cardio to remove underlying fat from these areas...but maintain a strength training regime as well. at the gym, treadmills are great bc you can easily monitor and change your distance, duration, and level of difficulty. at home I love tae-bo workout videos, denise austin is good too. these are great for a full body workout and you can focus on core areas as well. good luck, drink plenty of water, and take it a step at a time. you're doing great!~
