Church has nothing to do with God, all they know is His name... God like people meditate on nature, the universe, healing and the acceptance of all people.

Oh I hope you can find one that isn't like that. The church that Jesus established will only be found individually or in small numbers. Most churches today are repeating the same things that brought divisions into the body of Christ in other churches, history repeating itself all the time with religion.
If you learn the word of God you will know who is of God and be able to find the children of God.You might be at a larger church with lots of people but find a few with a pure heart that is a lot to build on to have people grow in the Lord and maybe where you should be to shine a light and bring enlightenment,in any case lifting up each other is what to look for caring about the brothers and sisters in the Lord.

It should be a spiritual thing , however some churches have become more social than spiritual

For those people it is a social thing. There is too much judgement going on. For many, it is spiritual. It really just depends on the person.

It can be either one or both. The church I grew up in had about 20-30 members and they were not rich.

On the other hand, some churches are more about getting together with people whom you like to be with.

A little bit of both actually. But the MAIN reason behind a church is power. If you control someones' beliefs you control their lives. That's the only real beef I have with most Neo-Christian faiths, the Church, and it's insistence that you can only find God/Heaven through them (convently giving them you money to be part of it.)

soem people do it to be seen and use it as a social thing while some people really do believe and are there for spiritual reasons

The Bible says its both.

It says: "do not forgo the gathering of yourselves together." Meaning, that you have a better chance at surviving in this world with others to "encourage" you in your belief system than "on your own."
