I wouldn't think that this would be connected.

I have epilepsy and from my personal research I don't believe this is what caused your child's epilepsy. However, it is possible he suffered brain damage from the exposure. Talk to your Dr and ask if this is a possibility. They might not give you a definitive answer (in most cases of epilepsy, the cause can not be pin-pointed). I had head trauma cause by a fall and then started having seizures shortly after this. I was 19 before my first siezure occured. The Dr's wouldn't say that's what caused it though. It can be very frustrating. I'm so sorry to hear about this little boy. Don't give up hope for him, there are so many new treatment options out there. The most important thing is finding a good neurologist. BEST OF LUCK AND BLESSINGS UPON YOU AND YOURS...

I know a girl who is epileptic and the shower water causes her to have seizures, this happened to another girl I know as well.

I also know a guy who has seizures sometimes when exposed to loud banging, like fireworks-he has to wear a helmet.

So, yes, something like Diesel fumes in a large capicity could possibly trigger something in his brain to cause him to have a seizure, but Diesel fumes are everywhere, being pumped into our cars while we drive to work and school, and there are people who have jobs as drivers, who spend all their time in vehicles, inhaling fumes-so I dont think it causes it.

Sounds like my sister in law. She's been having seizures since she was 2 and has gotten worse over the years. Her medications and the seizures really effect her brain, heart, body in a negative way. She's gotten slower as she's gotten older..she's only in her 30's.

epelepsy is not caused by fumes, its mainly brought on by light, hense why those with light enough cases to be still granted a license are not allowed to drive after lighting up time.
or be in contact with strobe lights etc. its connected to the eyes and nervous systems.
