Well since I am female the question would be handsome and dim or intelligent and plain. Definitely intelligence over looks. However, a happy medium between both would work for me. If the guy is too intelligent I am intimidated and the same with looks...too good looking does not work for me. On the other hand, smart, witty, fun, humorous, honest, integrity, work ethics, kind, etc. makes anyone good looking in my eyes.

I would go with intelligent and plain. Besides its a little easier to help in the plain department than it is with the intelligence.

intelligent and plain means less people will try to steal him for his looks and he can make lots of money so I don't have to work and can raise a family instead. shame life never quiet works out the way you hope. he is intelligent and plain but also highly stressed so no stressful high paid job Grrr lol.
dim beautiful guys bore me.

Intelligent and plain - it's depressing to look at a beautiful man and then he comes out with a comment as stupid as David Beckham does. It would get boring.Dim and beautiful are ok FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKSTHOUGH!

Definately Intelligent and plain otherwise you will find yourself bored out of your mind and dont forget constantly worying about losing him because of other women looking and last but not least he wont be a good enough lover if he's gorgeous!

This is a tough one to answer as i don't know what the person looks like, as well as feeling the postive or negative vibes i get from being around the person. Listen to your gut feelings and don't settle for some one you don't like as well as some one that can help themselves and you.
This is my two cents and hope it was able to steer you in some way. Secondly no two people are alike in terms of defining intelligent and romantic. Say you said that he does this and that would help people picture a better mental picture of the person.

Its funny, but when I first met my husband I thought he was plain, but as time has gone on I think he's pretty nice looking. He is very intelligent and we always have wonderful conversations. Its nice to have a gorgeous romantic partner, but after the lovemaking what are you going to do with a dimwitted man?
