My ex and I just got back together. We love each other very much and are rebuilding our relationship. Things are going well, except...he doesn't want the whole boyfriend/girlfriend title. He wants to be exclusive but is afraid that the title will mean that he has to meet certain expectation that he just can not meet right now (ie: spending time with my family). This is fine for now because we do need to focus on just us, but how long can this last? Is a title even necessary when WE know how we feel and what we are?

That is something you both will have to discuss and agree on. I understand where you're coming from, and what really is in a name? But I think it's extremely important to see AND hear affirmations of reinforcement for the relationship from each other. Yes, it's important to be shown love and affection, but it's also important to hear the other person TELL us how they feel. Obviously, it's up to you, but I don't think I would be in that situation very long. It's not fair to either of you.

trouble-free. a infant is obviously gullible and naive. a infant will settle for fables like Santa, the Easter Bunny, the teeth Fairy and an "all-being concerned, all seeing God" without batting a watch. It demands that form of infantile naivete to miss the apparent problems with believing interior the non-existent.

not really. married just means there's a piece of paper and some rings involved, however, there is some oddity as what he calls you when with other people if you're not boyfriend/girlfriend. but anyway, you two are together, and that should be enough.

i am in a slightly similar relationship. we're not bf&gf but we know that we are together. it just goes without being said. i personally dont think that you need to have your relationship "titled." if you two love eachother & things are going good the way they are then id just let it go for now. & if it bothers you later, just let him know youd like to be his girlfriend.
