i heard that after a certain time period school food is thrown away and it is unlawful to give these foods to the public just as its unlawful to take chairs, books, etc from the school if they throw it out. i would like to know if it is true or not.

That's an unusual question, but interesting. There may be health department rules that control the situation, so if the food has reached the time when it must be thrown out, it may be because of health rules, and so it is possible that it may be illegal to give it away.

&& if it is..who cares? if its for the good of others then go for it.

ur not going to get arrested for giving away food that isnt urs if thats what ur asking..

I am not defending this, just explaining. Yes, it is called stealing, it must go int the dumpster, after that it has become trash.
