Me, I wasnt born redneck, I grew into a redneck. You know what, Im damn proud to be one too!! Ive never been more comfortable with myself than who I am now, I'll never change. I know how to have fun, aint got much money, take care of my family then do what ever, I go to races, drink beer and get dirty wooohooo. I love it!!

It's someone who works hard every day to provide for their family the best they can. It has nothing to do with being poor, southern or a NASCAR fan. It's got to do with other people's shortcomings. People feel to make themselves feel better they have to bring other people down. I'm a college educated, northern born and bred, nascar fan of a redneck, and proud of it!

I'm a redneck.A hard working American that does the labor that it takes to see this country survive.
The name came from the workers that toiled in the fields and construction.Their necks were the only part of their skin that showed and the sun burn/tan on their necks were red.Most were poorly educated at the time and after work or weekends they spent time drinking and fighting.
Today a lot of us have degrees from major colleges and we manage or own business.
We are fans of football,baskettball,baseball,music,arts,we spend time with our family and still respect our country.

we have money and work very hard and yes we have ALL OF OUR(original) TEETH and yes we like sports and nascar

I consider a redneck to be someone, usually from the lower class in society, who isn't well educated, and is very poor. They often drink, smoke, have many children, and may even be racist. The term hillbilly actually has to do with the people who live in the Appalacian Mountains in the part that is in Tennessee. The term redneck applies in the same way, except it can be used to describe anybody in the US, and not just the Appalacian territory.

Because you asked this question in the NASCAR category, I'm assuming that you find NASCAR to be dominated by a redneck society. That happens to be incorrect. I am a non-redneck, in the fact that my lifestyle and backround are very far away from being one. However, I enjoy NASCAR very much, and do not believe that all the fans and drivers are rednecks. There may be some, as there are in ANY sport, but certainly the vast majority isn't. NASCAR can be enjoyed by anyone who chooses to like it. Let's not get too carried away with stereotypes.
