Unfortunately I don't think there is any way to really find out, unless he tells you himself. What are the chances of that. You sound young, so what I'll tell you is reminiscent of my high school days. Boys tend to really like the popular girls because of the fame, not so much for the girl themself. This is good because that means that at some point, down the road mind you, they will realize that they need to move on to someone that makes them feel special on their own, not because of who they're with. Everything happens for a reason. The most you can do is be yourself and if its the grand design of the universe for you to meet up then I guess you will. You might want to wait a few years till he matures a little more before you really want him, he'll probably only end up breaking your heart too. Typical for teen boys.

he doesnt like he has lust, and as you said she has no brains so get close to him, smile to him enter into conversations with him, he only likes her as a way as when he sees her but he doesnt think about her or anything so you could take your move and get into any thing with him i.e you want a book, ask what does he like and get involved in it, many things if you only give it a clear thought and good luck
p.s the popular girl is a super jerk

Man oh man, isnt this the case for us all. Been there, done thatt! I think the key to liking a guy and having him like you back or to be noticed is confidence and being yourself. I know its easier said than done but..little miss skinny legs..how does she act around this guys that makes her so attractive to him??? I doubt its the fact that her legs could snapp at any second like toothpix. Us girls always find ourselves sitting back and looking around us saying..what is it about her or her or her that makes everyone like them so much?? Shes not pretty! or smart! Why doesnt anyone notice me. The 'other' girl gets noticed because she puts herself out there and makes seem like shes important or any of those thing. When your able to accept yourself for who you are and be proud of it, it showss! And people will notice and respect you for that. I always used to be the girl in the corner watching life and chances pass..i learned to find the things i was good at, accept myself for who i was and i found confidence. And it showed through to alot of people...includingg somebody i really liked :)

best way to handle this one is to tell him, it doesn't hurt to try. well of course it does let me take that back, the rejection part, but how do you know if you don't try. hey he may even be flattered that you like him and that gets you in on him a bit.

just tell him if he likes you you'll find out but you'll never know if you don't take the risk and tell him but don't let someone else do it for you guys like to be told things directly to them like girls well good luck
