I love chocolate velvet coffee....but it's pricey. I prepare 1 pot (10 cups) every day...sometimes more. Is there a receipe out there where i can use regular roast coffee and cocoa?

I am talking about a brewed coffee. i want to know if there is something i can add to the regular GROUND coffee that will produce the same taste as the higher priced flavored ground coffees. BEFORE i brew it in my coffee maker.

folgers makes one called chocolate silk. it only comes in a small can for about $6-7.what i do is use one scoop chocolate to two scoops of regular. its not as expensive that way. another thing is to use a packet of hot cocoa in a cup of already brewed coffee. or put some regular baking cocoa in the grounds with a little cinnamon then brew. i hope this gives you some ideas.enjoy.

Hills Brothers sells chocolate mint powdered coffee mix (you prepare it like you would regular cocoa). I can't taste any mint or coffee in it. It's not that expensive.

My uncle makes mochas at home by mixing hot cocoa mix into plain coffee grounds when he brews it in his coffee machine. It's actually really good.

When you go to an espresso stand, they put chocolate syrup in the bottom of the mug and pour the plain coffee on top. Then stir it together.

I've often wondered if you could just add baking cocoa to coffee grounds before brewing. It seems like it would work...I'l try it if you will!

Put powered cocoa mix in the carafe (not in the beans). Stir when coffee is finshed brewing.
