You might need to take her to a grooming salon. They don't cost much. Just look in the yellow pages for your area for one. They know how to do it. That's part of their job.

My cat won't let me either so I take her to the vet to get her nails trimmed. When she's at the vet she is an angel and doesn't fight at all. My son wraps a towel around his cat to trim her nails but I'd be afraid of cutting into the quick because she is still fighting. She bites her nails because they are too long so going to the vet has worked out great for me it costs about $8.00 - $10.00 to have it done about every 6-8 weeks. It's worth avoiding the hassle.

Take her to the groomers. You could wrap her in a blanket and hold her tight so that she cant claw you. Give her treats after you have finished and becarful not to cut too low. Her nails should only need to be cut once a month. You could also buy her a scratch post and this will help her to ware them down herself.

I've never trimmed my cats nails and they get along just fine. If she bites her nails it probably won't hurt her any. If it needs to be done then take her to a place where they do that sort of thing. They could probably tranquilize her or something.

certified vet tech here . cats are hard at times when it comes to there nails . i would try this first have another person hold her and cover her eyes . so she can not see what is going on . holding her is proably the hard part i am sure . so throw a towel or blanket around her to avoid scratching if not go to your local vet and have the, clip them. it will take them all of five minutes tops .

She does it because it truly is the way you taught her to play. You allowed her to be demanding along with your fingers from the very starting up and there is not a lot you may do now to end it. Cats favor to study that fingers are for stroking and giving treats and are to not be used for play. you should really play along with your cat utilizing rod toys and keep your fingers nicely away. the reason she does it once you're stroking her is in all likelihood because you bypass previous the point the position it turns from exhilaration into something she famous stressful or because she has keen to commence taking area in lower back. even as she change right into a kitten her mom/siblings might want to have placed her in her position for doing it yet then you truthfully got here alongside and allowed her to escape with it! Stroke her for short sessions and do not enable her to change into over-inspired by it. once you stroke her and he or she behaves, reward her with a take care of. If she bites/scratches you should attempt now to not react in any respect by snatching your fingers away or by shouting as it truly is merely giving her the interest she needs. stay very nevertheless, withdraw your fingers and upward thrust up and walk away - she will be able to not assume that in any respect and could commence to study that biting and scratching merely potential being left on my own it truly isn't any interesting. i'm not particular what you may do about the scratches you've already got. i have self assurance Bio Oil is amazingly strong yet have not tried it myself.

Well, if she bites her nails, she's taking care of them herself. Leave her alone. If they really need to be cut, take her to your vet or groomer. They will NEVER, NEVER let "mommy" do anything to them! They will, however, allow a complete stranger to do anything to them. I have a Turkish Angora, myself and he won't let me even brush him--I have to take him to the groomer 2 or 3 times a year--and they just tell me how wonderful he is to work with----RIGHT! They should see him when I try to do anything to him, he's a wild-man!

Get her de-clawed but only on the front paws. They need the back paws for protection. ut go to the vet every 2-4 weeks and get the back ones trimmed. That way you dont have to do it and the vets are like pros. im shure they can handle it.

Buy a scratching post that is designed to wear down the nail.

Let her bite them, it's her prerogative.
