assume: 1) you are stubborn 2) the guy has not badgered you but said he is sorry and has shown some kind gestures 3) you have not seen him in that period but he still lives in the same town 4) nothing bad caused it, just a lot of stress in eachother's lives 5) you really loved the guy for the 2 years you knew him and he knows it and (now) really appreciates it. Note: since the person is stubborn (usually in a good way), I am not expecting an apology or formal intiation of talks on her part...that's why I am asking before I attempt anything. the last thing I assume she wants is my sappiness.. I am getting a few signs here and there like a forwarded email, or a quick call about something of mutual interest (leaves a message), but don't know how to read it. Previously there was silence. we are in our 30s believe it or not. Thanks.

If she dumps you, she isn't really interested are is she? I think you're wasting your time. How do you know that she really loved you and appreciates you? I have my doubts that she broke up with you because of stress. But if you want to try anyway, maybe you should give her a call and ask her out on a date. If she LIKES you, she WILL go out with you. If she honestly can't go out with you because of stress, she isn't the kind of woman you should be dating is she? Good luck!

I am very stubborn and proud and have come across such similar situation. I would wait for a sign from him, like a text "just saying hi" or a greeting card and then I would make my move and either text him or reply back....the idea is I would reciprocate his approach. I believe she is trying to tell you something, she's just embarrased to do it straight up. If you love her or like her a lot and aren't proud, call her (she would be happy).
Believe me when a girl is not interested she will give NO SIGN OF LIFE whatsoever....good luck!

You got dumped. Take her back and you're a doormat for the remaining duration of your relationship. Might sound oversimplified but that's how it works, believe it or not.
