There is one guy who I fancy. Recently we were sitting in a cafe with some of our friends and I accidentally called him - my darling! (Really it was used a bit ironically), but there suddenly was a silence, then his eyes sparkled and he grinned at me. I pretended not to notice that, so we moved on from that subjest. Today he winked at me (he does it quite often now). I haven't seen him wink at someone else, though i can say he is a flirter! Ok, so I do hang out with the charmer, but he just doesn't seem to take any steps further... What is he waiting for? Is it just a game then and he isn't that serious?!

enjoy the 'game' if that's what it is :) why rush things..the beginning of a relationship when sparks are flying in all directions is fun & wonderful...stretch it out :) don't rush it...now, if it takes TOO long to get any response, you may want to drop another hint (inadvertant or otherwise) to help things along...it seemed to work the first time! what a cute story..haha...have fun!~

No, I think he has changed, at the point of time that you accidentally called him darling, something inside him must have triggered, accidently by you. But he has a past, as a flirter, hence he is waiting for your response. Do you accept his new avatar as a serious lover ? Now, when the joke is on him, he does not seem to be enjoying it. It would be fun to take your money's worth and play the flirter to give him back, what he has been giving other so long.

I think that he had feelings for you and was building up the courage to approach you, luckily for him you also fancied him (good chemistry). The day you called him “My Darling” (sometimes the heart speaks out for itself, you know) you gave him a loophole, this is exactly what he was hoping for. (“His eyes sparkled and he grinned at me.”) Unfortunately you chose to make it look as if the ‘endearment ‘ was a slip of the tongue so the poor guy is left guessing and desperately waiting some reassurance that you could be interested in him. Finally he has boosted enough courage to wink at you hoping that you will reciprocate is some way. Come on ‘Lady Like’ do yourself a favour and help the guy out. I can assure you that he is not playing games…the guy is mad about you!

dont jump into assumptions. it seems that you had a fancy for him and not him and that's why he would have got triggered with that "my darling" of yours. you do seem to enjoy his company. dont get serious abt this relationship. buy some time. understand him. that will help you take a decision later.

Once you show your weakness by calling on him first, in my opinion (based upon your observations), he may use it for his advantage.

Just try to stay calm and show as if you too are not bothrered (I know its difficult) but thats the only way for you to know if he really likes you or is playing games with you.

I feel he is playing.......just wants to have fun with you....you know what....

no well by you saying that he is 100% sure that you like him and even if he likes you, he is waiting for you to go and face him because he knows whether he tells you or hides you will like him, so go and talk about it and you will be in a relationship with him and good luck

Do not manipulate anything on your own. If you/he are really in love then automatically you will feel/realise one day and if it is just crush / infatuation, it will fizzle out.
