I didn't think it was possible but the rotty is male and the mini poodle is female. He had been trying to breed with her and I have been having to seperate them. I know for sure she is in heat. I have heard rumors that a big dog breeding with a small dog like her can kill her and I am worried. Does anyone have any useful info on this or websites and is it even possible.

If a full grown male rotweiler breeds with a 10 lb. female poodle, the poodle will most likely die during labor, along with the pups. Try and keep the dogs seperate until the poodle is out of her heat cycle. Too bad it wasn't the other way around. A male poodle and female rottweiler could have puppies, if you gave the poodle a stepladder! :D

Sure, they can have sex and the female can get pregnant. Yes, one of four things will happen

1. The female will flat out die once the puppies are too large for her uterus and it ruptures.

2. The puppies will die because there is not enough room in her uterus to allow them to grow.

3. Both the female and the pups will die because of the complications.

4. You will have to pay $1000 for a C-section to remove the pups from the uterus - they may be underdeveloped and will die.

Why do you have an unaltered Rott and Poodle? Best way to fix the problem is to alter both of them. Then, no chance of pregnancy. Remember, only experienced breeders who are breeding to improve the lines should breed. So, get them both fixed as soon as they are old enough and NEVER allow them together until then. No "accidents". Be smart and fix them both ASAP.

Can a male Rottweiler get a multi poodle pregnant

If you love your poodle you will keep them seperated. Yes it most likely would kill her. He could damage her greatly by just trying to breed her. You can keep them in seperare rooms, take turns crating them, letting another person keep the male until she is out of heat. You should have them fixed and you wouldn't have to worry about it.

I'll give you a sad example from my neighborhood many years back. A guy with no common sense let his small beagle (about a foot tall) run loose when she was in heat. Most of the dogs in that neighboorhood were collies, shepherds, a golden-retriever mix, and the like. People called him and even took her back to his house and he just turned her out again anyway. She died giving birth--a huge pup got stuck and they wouldn't come out.

why didn't you have them fixed. yes it may kill the poodle and the male could harm her in side. l can't believe that any one would even let it go on for so long. you can separate them until she is out of heat but that will not stop the rot from trying to do it any other time. please get your pets fix.

I highly doubt you have quality breeding dogs so fix them. We don't need more in this world

Yes it is possible for mating to occur. And the poodle could die from a variety of reasons. One being that once tied the male could pull apart too early and rip her.

it truly is no longer basically unhappy, it truly is merciless. Breeding dogs for this exaggerated dwarfism (it really is how they breed tiny dogs like that, take unnaturally small dogs and breed them jointly) will bring about well being issues, between the most severe being Syringomyelia , the position the mind is basically too enormous to in fantastic condition contained in the tiny cranium and causes damage, affliction and often untimely lack of life.

Anything is posible, definately keep them seperate. The puppies would be WAY too big for the poodle and she could die.
