I am a Chihuahua owner myself. I got my pup a babies playpen. I covered that pad with clear plastic from the material section of Walmart, and put a little bed on one side and puppy pee-pads on the other side. Of course they like to be right up next to you all of the time, but if you leave home, the playpen is a small but spacious place for the puppy. One problem I ran into with my dog is he was so tiny that I never put him on a leash to go out, and when he got old enough to run around, he freaked out a froze with a leash on. So maybe get him used to that. Good luck, they are demanding little things. But they will love you forever! :)

I totally suck at the puppy things. But as far as nights. Buy a small crate or kennel. The puppy may use the restroom in it the first night. But after that the puppy will learn to hold it all night because it will not want it poop or pee in it's sleeping area. Don't get a big crate because it will use one end to sleep & the other to potty. With a chihuahua you will probably buy the smallest one. This works.

All puppies need socializing. Especially Chihuahuas, they can be scared, or aggressive towards strangers. The problem can worsen, if your puppy doesn't meet all kinds of people, and dogs. A polite dog, is much better than a impolite one.
P.S. Good for you, taking your puppy out every two hours in the night, that shows you are committed, and want your dog to his fullest potential.

Train him to puppy pads or news paper. Eventually they will train to use a litter box. Be consistent by all means. Try using a playpen at night to keep him confined and give him lots of toys to play with. Chihuahuas need lots of attention and can become very protective over the owner. Other that then all I can say is get use to it. They are little so they have little bladders.

Well, one, to let you know, the puppy is too young to be away from it's mommy. But that may not be your fault. That is why it is having to go to the restroom so much. But anyway, Chihuahuas tend to bark a lot, so be prepared to snap your fingers and say no. Keep them nice and warm in the winter. (lots of blankets and sweaters) And hey-if you live somewhere where it is warm right now, put out a tent and you're all set to go!

If the breeder had any brains what so ever he or she would not have let you take the puppy home untill it was 8 weeks old. That can be really dangerous for the puppy.

you should go to the pet shop and buy wee wee pads, my dog has one and has peeing and pooping on dat, pls do not get mad at the puppy for peeing on somewhere you do not want it too, they make accidents so please understand that.

yeah, get rid of it and get a real dog not a rat in dogs clothing. If you keep it, like I know you will, make sure you keep it out of your neighbors yard and train it not to bite your neighbors fiance.
