I don't know what to think. He says my number "flew" out his window when he put the visor down. He has an antiquated cell phone so, what, he didn't save the number? He wants to see me again, and I'm having a mental block about it. (I told him the relationship flew out the window, too) I also said I would let him know. Help!!!

In all fairness to you and the guy i will use the following to address your situation. There is two sides to every story and then the truth.
I see your situation going two ways Firstly : Depending on the outcome that you get by having friends that you trust and confine in. Give you an honest opinion about your self and if there is some thing you do in a subtle way of scaring off potential mates.
If there is some thing you are doing work on it as well as improving on your self and mode of dress etc.........Having girl friends that know a thing or two about clothes etc is a big help.
Remember that none of us are perfect and we all have our little quirks that need to be worked on.
Secondly : Say that you are ok and there is nothing out of the ordinary with you. This is all some lame excuse as any guy that is really interested in some one would not leave his number in such a place as his sun visor. I'm sure if this guy had Paris Hilton number he would guard it with his life, as well as being more creative in were he places this number of Paris Hilton.
Say that he place the number there and it flew out, he dated you twice so there would be some way he could have gotten in touch with you if he was sincere. I see this as a Big Red Flag and you need to move on as this guy is not interested in you at all. You owe it to your self to protect your feelings from getting hurt as there are other people out there.

My guess is he just really wan't that interested. Not enough to make any effort at all. He may have asked u out again just because he didn't know what to say. A guy that really wants to spend time with u will make an effort.....phone number or not! U can't tell me he didn't know enough about u from a couple dates that he couldn't have tracked u down....
If u are loking for anything more than a free dinner and laffs, move on and don't give him the digits or the tiime of day!

Trust me,if he REALLY liked you and cared, theres NO WAY he would lose your number,theres just no way.If you were that important to him he would commit the number to memory.
Besides,your intuition has told you the answer to this question and you did the right thing ( and very creative way ) telling him the relationship flew out the window.

I got my first cell phone in 1994. Even that one stored the last ten people I had called or who had called me. I don't see how any cell phone is not going to record that information. Also your number should appear on his phone bill. If he doesn't have a bill he could have called his phone company and asked them who he had called on a day he remembered calling you.
It all sounds like an excuse to me. He probably had a shot at someone he thought was better than you. They've now dumped him and he figures you are better than nothing.
Even if it is not an excuse it just shows that the guy is an unreliable, unresourceful, idiot who cannot be relied upon. Aren't you worth more than that?

Ok obviously this guy doesn't really care about the relationship that you guys had. I had the same problem and well I dumped him because all he ever talked about was himself! So I suggest you tell him how you feel and that if he wants a go at it for the third time he has to show how much he cares about you.

When a guy says he lost your number that means he don't really like you. When he says he still wants to see you that means he wants to just mess around when he feels like it. A guy that wants to get to know you would have put your number in his phone, computer, remebered it or whatever else. Find someone better.
