Rubbing alcohol on the tick cures then with in a few days. Our vet as also suggested pulling but that puts more pain to the dog and you may risk leaving the tick head on the dog.

The only thing you can do is just check them good when they come in. Frontline will only prevent the tick form clamping down on the dog. It won't make them fall out of it's fur. and it doesn't kill the tick. I know it sucks, but that is the price we pay for having dogs.
Sometimes, after I take my dogs for a run in the woods, I will wake up the next morning with a tick crawling on me. It's grose.

Try using Avantix rather than Frontline. It is more effective against ticks.

Good luck.

You need to go to a pet store, or vet, or even feed store. You need to dip your dogs. Get some Paramite dip...it's in a black box. This will kill all fleas and ticks on them, plus as long as they don't get wet, it'll have a residual effect for like a week. Just follow the label directions.....I believe it's one ounce to a gallon of water. The Paramite dip comes in 4 ounce bottles.....so that is 4 dips. That is no problem also if you have mutiple dogs. I'll tell you how I do it. I put some warm water in a old milk gallon jug...then put the one ounce of paramite dip in it. It turns the water milky white. You can dip them in your bathtub or somewhere outside (but not if its cold). Anyway, I'll put one drop of mineral oil in each of the dogs' eyes to keep the dip from bruning them. Put the plug in the drain of the bathtub. I put one dog in.....usually the largest....and I pour the gallon of dip all over him, paying special attention to the ears (inside and out) and the base of the tail. You can use a wash cloth or a cup and you want to get every inch of their body. Use a wash cloth for their face. You don't want to miss any spots on them. The dip will kill the ticks on them, they'll dry out and eventually fall. Any other ticks that come on them will die also. When you're finished with them, don't towel dry them, but just let them go....they'll dry themselves. You can use the same batch of dip on the rest of the dogs too...just put them in the tub, get a cup or old glass, and scoop from the bottom and pour on them. Yes, you will need to treat your yard also.......spray all trees 3 feet up. You'll need a professional product for this as well......from a pet store or feed store. Message me if you have any questions.

Ask your vet for suggestions. You are doing what you can, but you still need more help.
