what's the difference between earning at pharm. tech. license through schooling, like vocational school or, ROP and earning a pharm. tech. certification from taking the PTCB (the national pharm. tech. exam)?

In most states, you don't need any formal education to become a licensed pharm tech. In IL, all you need is your high school diploma.
To become certified, you need to pass an exam. If you pass, most pharmacies will give you a raise.
