The dog loves it, I/We have a blast, Everyone we pass seems ammused. The old lady is putting together a website promoting "Doggie sidecars "(hollithesidecardog.com) and is getting a lot of negative feedback? Are we the only ones who enjoy (or would enjoy) taking our dog riding?

I think its a great idea....I see it at the Sturgis Rally every year! At least a dozen or so folks with their dogs is sidecars, special seats on the back, and even special trailers behind the bike. HAVE FUN!!!

Hi! Love the idea! Most dogs really enjoy going for rides, so what is the problem with those people? ! Most of the people sending negative feedback, are most likely uneducated in the area of dogs and bikes! As long as the particular dog that is riding is trained not to jump out, then its fine. Even if it the dog is a jumper, there are 5 point harness seat belts for them! I have even seen little rag-tails and helmets for dogs! I applaud your old lady for the website, it's about time! Best of luck! :o) Keep riding with you furry buddy!

I use to know a man who took his bulldog on his motorcycle, he taught the dog to sit in front of him and wear goggles. I don't think there is anything wrong with your dog riding with you, but you have experience and some people do not. Don't worry about what other people think, its not any of their concern as long as your pet is safe.

Make sure that you emphasis dog safety. Eye protection is critical for pups.

Happy tails!
