You SHOULD dry your hair if you want it to shine beautifully, because if you do it correctly, you will seal the cuticles on your hair shaft, which makes your hair shine.

First, use a microfiber towel to shorten drying time. Pat - do not rub - your hair until excess water is gone.

Second, use a protective product so the heat from your blow dryer won't damage your hair. An example is Iron Smoother from Matrix.

Third, use a paddle brush for straight, sleek hair. Use a round brush if you want volume.

Fourth, use a good hair dryer with an end piece that directs the air in a line towards your hair. The dryer should be 1800 watts.

Fifth, TAKE YOUR TIME. If you dry your hair quickly, it will fly all over the place and become frizzy.

After you are done drying your hair with the heat, press the cold button on it. It's usually a blue button and drying your hair without using this feature is completely pointless. Go over your hair again with the cold button on. Since your hair is already dry, this will take just about one minute longer and it makes ALL the difference. Hope this helps!

If you want more shine dont dry it but even if you dry it the shine should still be there especially since the product is made FOR that pupose.
