When people talk on cell phones in public places, even sitting right next to other people, they should realize that everyone around can hear their conversation and might be listening, or simply can't help hearing every word. There is not privacy in those circumstances. If they want or need privacy, they should be the ones to go to a more private place where nobody will hear them. I don't think it's a good idea to comment on people's conversations though. Even when people know others can hear them they'd like to think that nobody is really paying attention. Commenting on it can also come across as sticking your nose into their business, which is usually not appreciated, even when people lay their business out for everyone to hear.

Well, you could go get the usher and ask that the jerk be told to cease disrupting the other viewers. It's the same as if two people are talking loudly in the theater, or making out and distracting others. Sometimes the usher won't want to get involved. But if it's a reputable theater, he/she -or the manager- will want to put a stop to it. Trouble is, you miss a good chunk of the movie doing that. I'd just dump my popcorn on the fool and move to another seat. (Hopefully, you use way too much butter on your popcorn, like I do! That makes it nice and messy.)

wow.. stupidity must be contagious, I had to deal with a self-important twit at a Subway resturant who decided to have a domestic squable over the phone with his girl while being taken care of!, because they had a sign "No Cell Calls In Line" they refused to take his order,he was getting very loud and obnoxious, and the people on duty were ready to call police. Me and other patrons were ready to take him in the back of the building and teach him a lesson in politeness!

i seriously hate these people. i dont get why people dont turn their phones off at school either. theyve been warned so many times, dude, you must be a dumbass. its like your phone goes off all the time during tests and stuff and you still keep it on. TURN THE PHONE OFF, I DONT CARE IF YOU HAVE A CHOCOLATE. at least i have the decency to turn my phone to aiplane mode during movies and stuff.
you know, these people are either dimwitted, or are trying to show off their cell phones off to the public. i knew this kid who would listen to his chocolate all the time in public with his arm stretched out all the way so people could see what he was holding. like dude, get a life.

He probably only cares about himself. He seems more arrogant and rude. But on the other hand he shouldn't be acting that way so, he is stupid.

Sweetie, let it go. Yes, behavior like that is annoying, but letting it get to you like that is only going to make you constipated. People are people and all the ranting in world will not change them.

Annoying isn't it? Some people are so arrogant that they think that everyone wants to know what they are talking about. HELLO, WE DON'T!!
