Borrow a neighbor's microwave? Announce that dinner will be late? I've never had six steaks to deal with at once, but I would suggest that if you put them out on the kitchen counter in a single layer, so they are not protecting each other from the room's warmth, they will probably thaw in a couple of hours.

Also, some people actually like grilling their steaks frozen, to keep the inside relatively rare. If they are not too thick, that would probably be the best.

Why would you want to take a beautiful living creature and stick it in a microwave? Make a commitment this new year to do something great for your health, the environment and the animals by going vegetarian/vegan. There is no need to eat the carcass of a dead cow and turn your stomach into a graveyard when lots of great meatless options exist. That cow was most likely mistreated and abused. By buying factory farmed animals, you are supporting animal abuse with your money. Scientist are also now saying that pollution from meat production has a greater negative impact then the pollution from our cars. Not eating meat will by a great way to show your children and future grandchildren that you love them and care about the earth they will one day inherit. Also, world peace begins at home and a plate full of decomposing animal flesh is not very peaceful. I have put a link to some great recipes below and they are all cruelty free!!! Please love animals, dont eat them!

If they aren't very thick, you do not really need to defrost. Run cool water over them, and throw them on a hot BBQ grill , turning about every 3 minutes. It works with broiling too. I wouldn't try this with a steak more than 1/2" thick though.

If you will eat them right away, put them in a watertight plastic bag and run under hot water. Continue to open and separate steaks and repeat, otherwise the cold water is good.

Put them in a ziptop bag and seal. Fill your sink up with cold water and put your steaks in there. You can also put ice in there.. but I don't for beef.

running water over the steaks in the bag will speed it up even faster

Put them in a plastic baggy and seal it (obviously) then put them in a sink of hot water. They should thaw out pretty quickly.

Set your oven to 300 degrees and check it every couple minutes so you don't cook it. Remember to set the steaks on something like a cookie sheet so the juices don't drip out inside your oven. Good luck! Enjoy your steaks!

it all depends on wat doneness u want ur steak to be of..

rare & medium rare = leave it in ambient temperature for 5mins, grill or fry it about 2 minutes both sides, leave it to rest for 5 mins.. throw in into the oven for 2-7minutes before serving..

for medium & medium well = leave it in ambient temperature for 10mins, grill or fry it about 4-5 minutes both sides, leave it to rest for 5 mins.. throw in into the oven for 5-8minutes before serving..

welldone = leave it in ambient temperature for 10mins, grill or fry it about 8-10 minutes both sides, leave it to rest for 5 mins.. throw in into the oven for 8-10minutes before serving..

voila.. bonne appetite.. dun forget to massage the steak before u fry then so that it will be more tender. high heat will seal all the juices in..

goodluck
