WinZip - industry standard!

There are a few ways to compress files - Winzip is probably one of the most common, but windows also allows you to compress everything on the disk - check the disk properties and take it from there.

There's no guarantee that you will reduce the files to <50% though, it depends on the type of the file and the amount of free space within the files memory footprint.

I think Winzip is a standard compression software. But Winrar is having more compression capacities. Winuha is also a good compression software. Try the following softwares.

Nothing will reduce the size by half. Winzip will usually compress them more than any other compression utility.

Use winzip software to create the zipped format of your file and it will reduce the size of the file to half. It will make easier to upload that datas through net fastly, and get half percent of storage than original file.

winzip or winrar are used to compress files though they dont reduce the size to half but the do reduce to a certain extent.

WInzip can reduce size of most files, possibly not to half but can defiantly reduce them.

It can be downloaded from www.download.com

Or if you have an xp pc you can right click on the file and send to zipped folder

I would opt for WinRar, the evaluation version is free and you can change the settings to get maximum compression. i always use it, im my opinion it is much better than Winzip
