According to the local televangelist, who is an expert on such matters, you cannot be born gay.

Being homosexual is a combination of birth and environment, especially for the female. It is a complicated process and starts at birth and ends by age 6. It is called the Oedipal phase in a boy and the Electra phase in a girl. For more information read Sigmund Freud.

A person can learn tolerance for someone who is gay. To not judge the person because they are gay. BUT it would be a way their heart makes them feel. No one could TEACH me to go against my specific morals or feelings. We don't have GAY-101 in school.

Right, it's a choice. So that means those televangelists chose to be straight when they could have just as easily chose to be gay.

Why in particular do YOU single HER out?

To my understanding, her family is perfectly accepting of her sexualty and in fact, her dad for all his other views, does not have an issue with gays. You should READ HER BOOK. Its interesting!!

The local televangilist is an idiot. Those with this view do not have a positive view of Mary Cheney.

Well, the local televangelist is misinformed. You can't "learn" to be gay. You don't "choose" to be gay. This must be devastating for the televangelist.

Where did she "learn" to be gay?

The same place that _you_ learned to be a human being. I guess that means you weren't born one. Judging by your words, you aren't one now.

If you think being gay is a choice, find a gay person and try starting a romantic relationship with them.

Is this the same televangelist who bought drugs and sexual favors from a male prostitute?

Here's god's opinion on it:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who withhold the truth in unrighteousness.... because when they knew God they glorified Him not as God,.... Professing themselves to wise, they became fools, ..... Wherefore God gave them up to uncleaness...to dishonor their bodies among themselves...Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worship and served the creature more than the Creator... FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up to vile affections....and likewise the men also, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men,... receiving in themselves THE JUST RECOMPENSE FOR THEIR ERROR,... God gave then over to a reprobate mind,.... filled with all unrighteousness, ...full of envy, murder, deceit,....haters of God,...proud,...without understanding,...who, KNOWING THE JUDGMENT OF GOD, that they which commit such things ARE WORTHY OF (ETERNAL) DEATH..." (Romans 1: 18-32)

Not a pretty picture for the sodomites.
