Pharoah and Abimelech did not touch Sarah, Did Abraham learn they feared God?

These kings could take any woman they wanted. Sarah was age 65 when Pharoah saw her, the son of Noah, Shem was age 525 years, but he was 98 years before the flood, this was 427 years after the flood and Eber was age 364 years. There are many that can be well over 100 years of age, and females may not be plentiful. They were amoung the snatch and grab land pirates of that day.

These relatives were not so far away from the flood and knowing the power of the God of Abraham, they would be scared. So Abraham's God pleagued Pharoah so that he let Sarah go Gen.12:16-20; He did nothing to Sarah.

Gen.20:6-12,17; Abimelech did nothing to Sarah, about age 76. Abraham explained that he thought these land pirates had no fear of God, but they had to as God was with Abraham and Sarah.

The same thing happened with Isaac and Rebecca, Gen.26:1-16;
As Pharoah's were Pharoah's to disguise themselves, so Abimelech and Sargon and such may have been the same.

I think you have some facts a little rearraged.

Abraham was married to Sarah, not Abimelech.
And they were married long before Sarah was 99 years old.

They were husband and wife way back before the ever left the land of Uz (Genesis Chap 12).

Ok someone pointed out to me Genesis Chap 20. Abraham has another "faithless" trip and is afraid that Abimelech will kill him if he finds out that Sarah is his wife. So he says "she is my sister" earlier in Genesis it say that Sarah was very beautiful. people aged differently back there closer to the Eden account and she might still have been very beautiful verses what 90 looks like now in our society.

Hope that helps clear some things up

you mean abraham was 99 yrs old?(genesis 17:1)....?although abimelech was early mistaken of taking sarah(genesis 20:2)...god warned him to return her to abraham (genesis 20:7)....and so he did just so as god said (genesis 20:8-14).........Thinking the couple were brother and sister, he took Sarah to become his wife but, providentially, did not touch her...........later this king concluded a covenant of peace and mutual confidence with Abraham at Beer-sheba.—Ge 20:1-18; 21:22-34.

Yeah, Sarah was supposedly very beautiful, but I think the king actually wanted her so that he could absorb Abraham's wealth into his own, it was a power thing, not a sex thing.
