I would just let her brag. If it's all lies, then the lies will sooner or later catch up to her.

Personally, I think I would just let her hang herself with her own bragging. It is likely, as you say, that he is lying to her, but not necessarily. Some people just don't buy the rich lifestyle thing; they go on living as they always have and invest the money. So it is possible he has it.
If you feel courageous, point out to her that while YOU love her enough to forgive it, others are likely to find her bragging so rude and tiresome that they are going to start avoiding her if she doesn't get over it. It's very tacky, whether it's true or not.
And be there for her when she is disillusioned or abandoned. Chances are she will be, in my opinion.

If you got it you do not flaunt it. When people have money they do not have a brag. Its the people that are not rich that brag that have no money. Just ignore her, let her live in her fantasy

Friendly advice: Tell her nicely that you're really not interested in having a conversation about this, and then .."Let's change the subject"...then bring up something you'd like to talk about. It's not being rude, it's just having your needs respected.

I guess just listen to her, but try to divert the conversation elsewhere. Ask her what made her fall in love with him. Maybe she's exaggerating about his money, maybe not. Perhaps he's cheap and doesn't like to spend it (that's why he has it). Either way, it's really none of your business. You have to decide if your friendship is worth putting up with it. Or...you could ask her why it's so important to her

If she is lying, then she's lying there is nothing you can do about it. I think that she will get what's coming at her if his money really isn't there. Someday something will happen to prove she does or doesn't have any money, and she'll be the one embarrased not you, as long as you don't accuse her before you have any proof.

You should act disinterested in a, I'm happy for you sort of way.
Why do YOU care whether he is the cleaner at the local store or the president of the United States? If your friend is happy, good for her.

Just tell her, "Oh, how nice for you" in frosty tone of voice. Hopefully, she'll get the message.
