I have the same story but a little different. My hair used to be so long, it almost touched my butt...LOL... I started using perms at 13 but that perm damaged my hair and it was falling out. So, I cut all my hair into a short tom boy cut.

You should just take care of your hair. Use the oil Do Grow and it will help a little. Use silk and soft conditioner that helps too. Once you started relaxing your hair, keep going with it. Because when I didn't use the relaxer for two years, my hair started falling out. I heard straightening the hair, damages the hair.

Now, my hair is back to being long again.
