WHATEVER YOU DO, do not get the juice on anything. The stain never comes out.

Method #1
Cut off the crown, then cut the pomegranate into sections. Place the sections in a bowl of water, then roll out the seeds with your fingers. Discard everything else. Strain out the wate. Then eat.
Method #2.
Cut the crown end off a pomegranate, removing with it some of the white pith. Lightly score the skin in quarters, from the stem to the crown end. Firmly yet gently break the sections apart, following the score lines. Bend back the skin and gently scoop the seed clusters into a bowl; remove any pith.

#3 FANNING METHOD
Cut the pomegranate in half vertically. With the cut side up, make 4 equally spaced cuts 1 inch long and 1 inch deep. Hold the pomegranate half, cut side down, over a deep bowl and pull the fruit open but not apart, using equal pressure from both hands. Holding the pomegranate half, cut side down, in the palm of one hand, whack the top of the fruit with the back of a large spoon. The seeds will fall out.
I looked these up on line. As for how I peel a pomegranate well I use a flexible knife to remove the leathery red skin then cut the top part out and break it in two then it is only a matter of getting the arils (juice sacs) or what I call the seeds separated from the bitter pith. I hope that I have been some help to you on this matter.

You don't exactly "peel" it. First you put on an apron because they stain. Use a big cutting board. Cut the pomegranate in half from top to bottom, then into 4Th's. You peel away the membranes with your fingernails and then pull off the seeds with your fingers. You can do this under water in a big bowl to keep the staining and stickiness down if you want to. Drain all the seeds and clean up with bleach and wet cloth.
Do eat the entire seeds and not spit out the hard part because they are wonderful and good for you.

The trick is not to rip apart any seed. The seed has a hard inner seed with a juicy outer code covered by a delicate membrane.
So, cutting into half will cause a lot of juice to spill.

You can just cut the outer layer with a knife and skillfully twist and turn so that you can break the fruit without rupturing the seeds. Once broken, you can easily remove the rest of the seeds. You can use the same procedure to break each of the parts apart to reach the seeds hidden beneath. Its much easier to peel one that is not too ripe, else you might get your hands messy.
Its not a big deal though.

Here's how

Things You'll Need

pomegranate
1 medium bowl
1 small bowl
knife
cutting board
paper towels
about 1/2 hour

Instructions
STEP 1: Cut the top off of your pomegranate so that you can see the juicy seeds called arils. STEP 2: Use the medium bowl to discard the skin of the pomegranate and the small bowl to hold the arils. STEP 3: Use your fingernails to pull the skin away from the arils. You will find that the pomegranate will break into sections. Pull to break a section off in order to get to the arils. STEP 4: Discard the skin of the pomegranate and save the arils in your small bowl. Use the paper towels to clean up your area and hands.
