besides the actual incontrovertible truth that many characteristic this e book to Paul it neither has his writing sort nor the common salutation nor final that something of His Epistles do. some students imagine this e book change into written by Priscilla. considering this e book is termed hebrews it would want to be assumed that the author is chatting with Jewish believers in Yeshua. this may be validated by the challenge count number. The unbelief of Israel contained in the desert, the most objective on the priesthood and temple worship and the comparisons with the Messianic Priest and the temple in Heaven. it truly is a e book bypass bolster the lagging faith of those who're being persecuted critically consequently possibly the Jews in Rome. it truly is the reason the lengthy disortationn of religion and theencouragementt to not forsake going to synagogue. That Christ is the same the day handed by today and always i have self assurance is an instantaneous referencee to the passage that asserts "God changeth not" from the torah it truly is meant to inspire the believers to keep on believing what they have been taught from the starting up. comprehend in all of this that what they were taught as Jews in no way counters what they're taught as Christians. considering on the on the spot it change right into a similar. they did not have the gospels except orally they did not have the epistles except on occasion so all they'd change into the tanach . till Bar Kokhba rebel in 132 CE the Christians and Jews met interior a similar synagogues. because the Christians does not declare Simon Bar Kokhba because the Messiah they were thrust out of the synagogues and a prayer hostile to Christians change into extra to the Amadah.

The roots of Confirmation are found in Acts of the Apostles 8:14-17, "Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who went down and prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for it had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them and they received the holy Spirit." See also the Gospel of Saint John, chapter 14 where Christ speaks of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles
It is the work of the Holy Spirit to ultimately fulfill the high priestly prayer of Jesus: "I pray...that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one" (John 17:20-23). The courage and vision to strive for this ultimate unity are the promise and grace of Confirmation: Sacrament of the Spirit.

There are really no Bible references to Confirmation. "Confirmation" was created by the Church so people could reaffirm their beliefs. There is however evidence that people took new names when they got new positions. Ex: Saul became Paul.

The straight forward answer is that Confirmation has no basis in the word of GOD. It is a totally man-made affair. It is not included in GOD's plan for our salvation. It is meaningless and utterly useless.

It isn't exactly mentioned in Scripture.
Howveer, the Cath. church adopted that term to referr to a day when young people become accountable to make their confession of faith in Christ.
