I was discussing this with some friends and I have male friends who say that they would date an intelligent woman even if she were unattactive. I have a very hard time believing this myself. What do you think?

I have a hard time believing that too. But all of my male friends do value intelligence before beauty. Too bad they never follow their own thoughts or advice!! I do think that some guys go for that, and that makes them even more intelligent. Kudos for those that do ☺♥

To some beauty is in the eye of the beholder,to some first impression count.
to many men,out ward beauty bring you closer to discovering what the inner beauty look like,
to be honest i think the look matters,it make people come close to discovering how intelligent the person really is.on rear occasion will a guy come so close to an unattractive women, talk more of going out with them.

If he is controlling then it is most likely that her personality is such that she is easily controlled and once she was hooked she got stuck there. She might have an equally horrible personality. Looks aren't everything. Many nice looking bad-boy types are controlling, abusive and yes criminals. They may be fairly happy together for all you know. Shouldn't you just let go of the fact you had a crush on her and didn't get her ?

People can only do so much with the looks they were born with. Choosing to be well-read, able to listen as well as hold their own in a conversation - sure that's VERY attractive. Over time, the looks can fade. Gimme that smart lady every time.

as you get older you soon realise looks isnt all. and the guys may really want to be with someone who's intelligent, rather than a pretty dumb girl. others may just want the intelligent woman cause she's making money and would like her to spend $ on them

it also depends on their definition of unattractive. i think women that are intelligent are very attractive, unless she happens to be able to grow a beard faster than i can, or she looks like christopher walken. looks are most of the time secondary, if the face is symmetrical, then a lot can be taken as a whim.

OF course what someone finds as beautiful is as different as there are people. Some people just think the exterior is where it is at, some find that with intelligence and mannerisms that is where it is.

Guys are dogs- most of 'em anyways. I'm sure this woman has something that's attractive about her. I'm positive she's appealing to some one. I think being smart is a very sexy attribute.

I think that if they care so much abt lux then they aren't worth it so don't date guys that r all abt that ... simple I mean all guys are differen't and i mean Nice Guys finishing last isn't true cuz the bad guys never finish
