All the women responded that they (women) don't like jerks, all men responded that they do, more or less, at least sometimes.
This is perhaps the best use of Yahoo answers to figure this out. We have both male and female minds here and all ages too.
So, whats really up with that?

Why do nice guys think that all women like jerks? I personally think that the women who date jerks mistake arrogance for confidence and personality. It seems to me that a lot of the nice guys are shy, and there is nothing wrong with that, but once you work on your self-confidence you will find a girl. Then you've got a whole new problem....picking the right girl.

I think "jerk" might be the wrong term.
"Bad" might be a better term.
Women like bad guys b/c they see them as less nice than the guy that they currently have in their life. They think that this Bad guy will give them excitement and help them feel better about themselves.
But, they never bring it up to the nice guy. Great communicating ladies.
Then, when they nice guy finds out the women are sorry or blame the nice guy. "you should have stopped me" or "you were ignoring me (even if not true)" Once again, great communicating ladies.
I got tired of women's act of I don't like bad guys and then leaving me for 1. After the 3rd time I thought I should treat them nice for the first couple fo weeks, then slowly start missing dates, not apologizing, not telling them of my plans (just do it - Nike has a great slogan for us guys), etc.
You know what? I have 3 gfs now, 1 an ex that left me for a bad guy who smacked her around after a while. They all know about each other. On top of it 2 want to know what the other bought or did for me so they can try to top it. The ex is willing to do anything I want. Being "bad" pays if you do it right.

Most women like drama, even if they say they don't. they like head games, even if they say they don't. I avoid drama and head games so I do not have a girl friend. Women expect you to play up to them, but "most" have a low self esteem and do not respect a man that respects them. It is a fine line. Just find a gal that plays the same game as you want to.

Be anything but authoritarian keep your body profile low, look like a puppy dog or cat take your pick, give a side glance..in other words just do what women do when they want a man!!

jerky girls like jerky guys......women with issues will be coerced into a relationship with controlling jerks because they have no self-esteem and don't think they deserve any better, bright well adjusted happy women like caring happy men.....

girls do not like jerks. even if u act like a jerk that wont be good. just be yourself and not what other people want you to be
