...because of the people who don't do anything about it?

(Thanks to A. Einstein)

Edmund did say that, Lev...however Albert is credited with "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." So I was twisting his words around this time...not Ed's. Thanks though.

Definitely.
When people are in a position to change the world for the better but instead choose to stand on the sidelines and complain or comment or whatever scapegoat method they want to use, they are responsible for the destruction.

There is no honor in just watching things happen without doing anything about it.

Silence is a form of consent.

By people choosing not to do anything, it is almost as though they are allowing bad things to happen. Their silence gives permission.

That's not fair. That's like blaming a man for someone else's murder because he didn't kill the murderer when he had the chance.

People are responsbile for their own actions, period. It would be nice if others came up to intervene and, realistically, that's the only way real change happens, but it doesn't mean that its the good people's fault if they don't act! It just means they should, which is what I believe Einstein was getting at.

No.

Its the evil people.

I believe it was ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing’ and it wasnt Einstein, it was said by Edmund Burke 1729-1797.

The world is a dangerous place to live because of man, the world it's self is a beautiful place to live.

Pretty close. I personally think the world is a dangerous place because of those people who are utterly convinced they are doing the best thing. That's the justification for religious war, for the murder of abortion doctors, for anything truly grim. Even Hitler believed he was doing the best thing. That's why it's such a scary thing to me...

Yes. When Good People rise up against all wrong-doers, and refuse to allow the wrong-doing to occur, this will greatly separate wrong-doing people from that of the rest of society. Wrong-doers will invariably group together, because they will not feel comfortable within the ranks of society, this is because of their different ways, and they will want to group with people they have affinity too.
Thereafter, wrong-doing will fade quickly from the planet, as it evolves to a state of rest, and study. This is the natural evolution of the planet, as well as its inhabitants.

I'd agree with that. One of my favorite songs is 'The Sound of Silence' ~ "silence like a cancer grows" ~ because of that. There are a lot more things going on spiritually than just people who choose not to act, but that is one big reason.

The world is a dangerous place because of stupidity and ignorance.

It is a dangerous place because of sin, evil, and satan who the majority of this world follows. Forget Einstien, put your faith and trust in the Lord and not man.

Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

No. Evil is the greed and the love of money and the people who refuse to obey God. The one and only true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Son Jesus Christ.

Not Allah.
