yay! now I know that I'm not the only one eating SlimFast!
I eat Slim Fast too but only for breakfast and I don't follow its plan although I've read it. It seems much to me. depends on how much you usually eat, if this is less than what you eat then you can loose that much weight. Also 4 pounds is not THAT much so I guess it would work, but just be really careful=D
I suggest along with doing the plan, exercise 4 times a week too.

I tried it, I didn't lose any weight, sorry. But you might be luckier. My goal was always 800 cal. but I usually ended up around 1000. Right now, I'm losing weight from work (running around all the time) and eating half of a meal that I normally would have eaten all of. If that's what you're looking for, I'd also suggest looking into Adkins, when you first start (and stick to it) you lose a lot fast, However, South Beach is safer because you can eat more types of foods. I hope I helped you a little bit.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!

No matter what you weigh, you need to make sure you take in at least 1200 calories per day in order to prevent your body from going into starvation mode, which will in the long run make you gain weight and screw with your metabolism. You need to get into a workout routine including cardio and muscle building exercises. It's very important to know that muscle helps burn fat and also that muscle weighs more than fat. (you might notice a small weight gain at first, until your body starts to burn off the fat) Your body begins to really burn fat after approximately 20 minutes, so doing 30 minutes of cardio is a great start. Lunges and squats are great ways to tone the bottom half. For arms, start with light weights and do about 3 sets of 10 or 15. If you don't have weights, use milk jugs or water bottles. Diet is extremely important. Cut out soda completely. By doing that alone you will notice signifant loss in your midsection. Three meals, a small snack in between meals. For meals, you may want to look into the South Beach Diet. It's healthy and it allows you to eat good food. If that doesn't interest you, just make sure to steer clear of fast food. If you are a big salad eater, make sure the dressing is lo cal/lo fat. A great one is Ken's Steakhouse Lite Northern Italian. You will also need to cut way back on sugar. Notice I didn't say cut out all sugar! If you are craving something, it means that your body really wants it. If you don't give it to your body, the next time you eat it (sugar for example) your body will store it because it thinks it won't get it again for a long time. Sounds funny, I know, but our bodies are very smart. I allow myself Sunday as a free day. Now, I don't go overboard and binge eat or anything, but I'll have a candy bar or a taco from Taco Bell or something. WATER is key. It's going to help flush the fat away. I know it sounds like a lot, but shoot for a gallon a day. Plain old water. No flavored stuff or anything with carbonation. 4 pounds per week is a VERY good amount to shoot for and you can do it. Have patience because it will take about 2-3 weeks for you to really start seeing results. Once you do, it'll be easier to stay on track. If you really want to get it shape and lose weight, you CAN do it. If you get off track, don't punish yourself. Start again the next day and keep on going. Good luck!!!

You're kidding, right?
Just try to lose a pound a week through diet and another pound a week through exercise. Even that's a little ambitious, but you need both diet and exercise, otherwise your body will go into this "famine mode" and you won't get anywhere.

It might be possible, but it's really not healthy to lose more than 2 pounds a week. 3 is pushing it.
Such rapid weightloss puts you at greater risk to gain it all back when you begin eating normally again.

I have no idea as I don't know what you weigh or what your daily needed calorie intake is.
