Well depending on what liquid you are limiting yourself to, it would need to contain all the basic minerals and vitamins, calories and protein you would get in an ordinary diet.
It is usually used before surgery though, and depending on what liquids you would drink it doesn't really make anyone lose weight unless you're consuming the bare minimum of calories.

Well you can use a blender and liquify a burger, french fries and drink a milkshake and that would have a bad effect on your health and those man-made drinks arre not much better.
But drinking the juices of fruits and vegetables are great for health but I did not answer your guestion since it is involved and most people do not know so they would disagree.
