I'm trying to make a potato dish but I don't have a pan big enough. Can I use the ceramic dish from my slow cooker in the oven?

You should be able to use it safely but I wouldn't go much over 350-375 degrees.

No, it will crack/break. When a slow cooker is on, it heats at a very low temperature (for a long period of time) and distributes the heat evenly. It is not designed for the direct heat from an oven.

It depends on the slow cooker.Read the manual.I have one that is stoneware...it can go in the oven. Most of them probably aren't supposed to go in the oven.If you aren't sure, I think it would be safer not to put it in the oven.

No. It would probably crack in the higher heat of an oven.

Yes---but if the lid is plastic, use a different one or some foil.
