I have bought a couple of cars from them. Make sure you have a used car guide to get an idea of the values on the cars you are interested in. Make sure you get there early to have a good look around potential cars on the auction floor.
Dont get carried away and stick to your budget. You can pick up a serious bargain but be aware there are very limited gaurantees on most of the cars, those below a certain value are sold as seen. There are also auction fees to pay on top of the purchase price make sure you know these.

I've been to a handful of car auctions. There was no fee to attend or bid. However, non-dealers had to pay an extra fee on vehicle purchased. It wasn't big though, like $20.
I didn't buy anything. The auctions are usually old vehicles with high miles that need work.

Just turn up and DONT scratch your nose.
Do watch out for phantom bidders!!!! the auctioner will pretend that they have another bidder bidding against you to drive up the price when there isn't. Unfortanately its legal! And DON'T buy the first few times you go just watch and listen! you'll learn alot this way
