That does depend a lot on the particular dog, age, size. However, unless vet says diff we prefer to "free feed" with food/water always available at all times. Discourages the dog from gulping down the food at one time, vomiting. Sense of security that food always there.
We do rescue and feed 1000s over the years. We really free feed the puppies as they need to eat at will. Like a baby they eat little bits all the time. No tummy upset with free feed.
We only go to rationing the food if dog obviously putting on the weight and over eating. Mainly a problem with older less active dogs. Also, a dog that is out a lot in colder weather needs more food to burn to keep warm!

It depends on what the size of your dog is. If its a large dog, I would put about two cups full. If its a small dog, like a teacup yorkie or chihuahua, probably about 1/2 cup.

if it is a small breed it can range anywhere from a half to a full cup a day....if it is a large breed anywhere from four or more....I would ask your vet or the person you got it from....or check on the back of the dog food sacks...sometimes it has recommendations..

it depends on a lot of things, the size of the dog, the kind of dog, how often you'd feed them, the kind of food, etc. you should take them to a vet and check =]

Usually it says on the can or bag (depends on what type, wet or dry, that you are feeding it) the proper amount to feed each respective weight.
Weigh her, and call the vet if in doubt, to ask the proper feeding amounts for your type, age, and weight of animal.
