If anyone has experienced taking a family pet to spain could you please contact me with the revelent details.I would be very much obliged.

Yes, it can be done, but your pet will be treated as luggage basically and not allowed to be with you. Once you get there he will be kept in quarantine for a long time before you get him out. Not worth the trouble unless you have an extended stay planned.

Check with the airlines. And check with the MAFF as there are stringent requirements on importing animals into the UK from overseas when you try to bring him back.

You may do it but it's a lot of hassle. It's only worth doing it if you plan living there.
