ONLY the folks who said "por" are correct. And it does NOT sound better in Spanish to say it any other way. Nicky's translation is probably the best: "Vamos por dos semanas." You don't have to use the "nosotros" before "vamos" because "vamos" is reflexive, i.e., it contains the first-person plural (we) in the verb form.

In this case do not use a literal translation that would be Vamos a ir por dos semanas. Instead of that try to keep the meaning, and the best way keep it is: Vamos (a ir) dos semanas . Good luck!

Por means for.

Para means to.

"We are going for two weeks."
"Nosotros vamos por dos semanas."

So yes por or para shows duration of time.

I may be wrong, but I think it's "por." Por - by, for. Para - in order to. And I think the sentence will translate to this:

"Estamos vayando por dos semanas."

Estamos vayando - We are going ("Ir" is an irregular verb).

in spanish sounds better to say "vamos dos semanas", without por or para
but you can say "vamos por dos semanas", para is in order to

note: "we are going" would be "estamos yendo" (not vayando), but sounds better to say "we go" (vamos)
