Raspberry-Beet-Berry Smoothie
Prep: 10 min (4 servings)

2 cooked beet (41/2 ounces), cooled and coarsely chopped
2 ounces fresh or frozen raspberries
1 cup cranberry juice, chilled
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt
Chilled raspberries for garnish (optional)

1. In food processor or blender, puree beets, raspberries, and cranberry juice until smooth.
2. Pour puree through a strainer into a large pitcher. Whisk in most of the yogurt.
3. Pour into 4 glasses and top with remaining yogurt. Garnish with extra raspberries, if you like. Serve immediately.

A good smoothie recipe is STRAWBERRY-BANANA:

2 bananas
6 strawberries
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of honey
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Combine all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.

I prefer smootihies without yogurt. You can use a banana as a thickner.
The "best" smoothie is one you experiment with yourself. Buy frozen fruit (the kind with no sugar added) like--strawberries, peaches, raspberries, blueberries.
Combine them together with a can of frozen orange juice concentrate, a half of the can of cold water, a banana and about a cup of ice and blend.

You ned up with a refreshing, naturally sweetened, dairy free, fat free smoothie.

I like mangoes and soy milk. Yummy and sweet and smooth. My bf like chocolate icecream, peanut butter, and bananas (it's called a chocolate elvis). If you look up SMOOTHIE on All-Recipes it will give you a bunch!
