I downloaded a movie and when I go to open it up it says:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

I download "divx", but it's still not working.

what should i do?

Go to this site: www. free-codecs.com . Probably you find there what you need. I use Ace Mega codecs!

2 things to do: First I recommend downloading VLC media player for everything WMP can't handle. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

secondly, you can right click your movie file, click properties, look at the video codec it's recorded under, and do a google search for "[your codec] windows media codec"
