The Bible would not call homosexuality an abomination, it calls having intercourse with male temple prostitutes (a convention of the religions of different gods) an abomination. The sin is having different gods until now Yahweh. Nowhere does the two testomony condemn the state of being gay. yet i like the Christian copout that it is not Leviticus they are following, yet passages from the hot testomony. The NT prohibitions are grounded in Leviticus, so as that are condemning homosexuality in keeping with a pretend impact of Leviticus, then ignoring the different greater beneficial than six hundred commandments that they do unlike. Bur, for the reason that Christianity right this moment is Salad Bar Christianity (even Catholicism - only look into the hot "sins" that the Pope invented), what else can anybody assume. The Bible isn't a e book to stay with the aid of, it incredibly is a e book used to justify doing what human beings elect to do.

Maurice, this is the only question i have to disagree with you on. As Christians we are not supposed to judge. Yes homosexuality is wrong but so is fornication, adultery, children out of wedlock, lying. We all do it. We shouldn't judge homosexuals and call them an abomination. God is the only one that can judge our actions and even if they are gay, they can still get into heaven if God says so. Everyone is a sinner so i guess everyone is an abomination. considering biological science, some people are born with ambiguous genitalia as well as both male/female hormones. Some would naturally want a person of the same sex. These are cases where a person would be born gay due to no fault of their own.

Ok... I have to say I think your SO wrong to JUDGE others, You are in no position do to that.
However I do agree with you on the comment you made regarding those that are "born gay". I truly do not believe that anyone is born that way, but then again I am totally assuming that fact. I Could Very Well Be Wrong.

The first thing wrong here is you are reading scripture for guidance in life. the track record for the bible being a moral guide is just terrible. this brings me to the question .
there is no moral guide to say that being homosexual is wrong. it is a matter of the persons makeup, their biology.
your statment that no one is born gay is just totaly ignorant of the facts. but that is nothing out of the ordanary for a christian to think ,since x'ians are getting their information from a book that was written centurys ago by men that had a very limited knowledge of the world. NO it was NOT handed down to them from a god. it was written out of superstition and fear and has no bearing on the world of today. you see x'ians have a great frear of their god. it is just sad to see them waisting their lives and ours. the x'ians have halted the progress of mankind, literly set it back hundreds of years with dogmatic belief. with free thinking we could have peace and happyness all over the world. the dream to me is a world free of religion. freedom from opression and hate caused by religion. the time is coming. the movment is on . wake up !

It is enduringly sad that you have chosen to ignore the capacity that God gave you for giving and receiving love and have instead bought into a religion that teaches you self hate.
Until he died of cancer in 2000, I had a wondrous loving relationship with my partner. In every way other than gender it was a marriage.
I hope at some point you can find a different, perhaps mutual way of letting love enter your life.

Why on earth is this question directed at atheists? It's about homosexuality. I think a dictionary may be a good thing to add to your toolkit, buddy.
Just so you know, though...you can't prove anything out of that big book unless the people you're talking to believe in the big book to begin with.

I really can't tell if you're an atheist poking fun at religious people or a religious fundamentalist in reality.
Problem is even when people lay the sarcasm on thick they dont always get picked up because the average theist is so irrational and stupid.

OK, so you say that you weren't born gay, but you are going to wait forever because you can't find a woman that interests you? That seems a little contradictory and very sad.

Only Christians will agree, YES, and even then not all of them.
If you read the bible don't forget this ! Being born into homosexuality is another way of saying 'this is what I will do'! regardless of anything that is said including the word of God.
Romans chapter 1.....1-32 with emphasis on 24 -26................
When it says "gave them up".............it means just that....He has washed His hands of them..........
